I have been eagerly awaiting the call for entries to this competition since i first heard about it last year and was then fortunate enough to also visit it with my fellow CIT class-mates and lecturers.
I have two solid entries ready for submission first thing next week - with a possible third entry on the side (will take the weekend to think about it a little more)
In a similar way to when i entered the National Photographic Portrait Prize late last year - I am really quite energised and excited to be entering. Not only is it one of the biggest competitions within Australia each year, but it is also very broad/open and gives off the vibe of being more encouraging to non-professionals.
Well that's the end of this blog entry, i will report back with how i went once they release the names of the winners and those who will have their work exhibited.
Till then, wish me luck :]

2013 - National Portrait Photography Prize.
Okay so i have decided to enter into this competition.
It is quite an exciting opportunity to have available and my goal is to at least have my entry accepted/chosen into the top 100 for exhibition in 2013. IMAGINE THE EXPOSURE THAT WILL GIVE ME :]
My entry will be the portrait i took only recently of my good little mate Jayama. I am proud of the image, there is a very touching story behind it and as pointed out to me from others, it is also a relivent issue within society/politics at present.
Anyway, stay tuned.
